We finally have the first spy photos of the upcoming 2017 Cadillac XT5 which should arrive on the market as the replacement of the Cadillac SRX. The vehicle will debut at the LA Auto Show. The company has one and simple plan- to refurbish the entire lineup in following years and that will be the case with the new 2017 Cadillac XT5. If you are looking for a mid-size crossover to buy, then you should wait for a while and buy the 2017 Cadillac XT5. Of course, there are several good reasons why the 2017 Cadillac XT5 is the best of the best, and we will soon check them all.
2017 Cadillac XT5 Exterior
The successor of the SRX will have a brand-new design. It will sit on a new C1XX/Chi platform just like some other GM’s models including the2017 Buick Enclave and 2017 GMC Acadia. The vehicle will sport a new radiator grille. There will also be a new roofline and dual exhaust system that ensure sportier look. It will have vertical headlights, while taillights can be characterized as angular.
When it comes to the interior design of the newcomer, it has undergone some changes but don’t expect something you have not seen before. The mid-size crossover will get a slightly redesigned cabin and brand-new materials inside of it. Don’t worry; it will remain spacious and luxurious as it has always been. The well-known Raven Sapele wood trim will be replaced by new wood accents. The base trim level will arrive with leather seats. Some of the technological features that arrive with the car are 8-inch display, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, 8-speaker sound system or premium 10-speaker sound system. Higher trim levels also get ventilated and heated seats.
2017 Cadillac XT5 Engine
Since most of the mid-size crossovers are powered by a 3.6L V-6, there is a great possibility that the 2017 Cadillac XT5 will be powered by the same engine configuration. Of course, we can expect a more powerful and upgraded V6 that will definitely be capable of producing more than 308 hp while the level of torque will be more than 265 lb-ft. The 2017 Cadillac XT5 will also be offered with a smaller 2.7L turbocharged V-6. Both engines will be coupled to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the power will be sent to front or all wheels.
The price for the base model should start at $38.000 and it will vary depending on equipment you choose.
