The global market should be richer for the new 2017 Lexus LF-LC. It was introduced on the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, and after several years of development this model should finally be presented in the last quarter of 2016.
Although the company made an official announcement about the 2017 Lexus LF-LC, it is still not clear what transformations are being implemented to this model. This model comes with a new platform, so the automakers are probably still checking every detail so that the best results can be obtained. Some rumors say that the car will have wider side mirrors, along with wider and bolder grille on the front fascia. Thanks to a longer hood this model will be more aerodynamic. The company will also use light weight materials, so the model will have better performance and the driver will have better control on the road.
At this point, the interior is still a mystery. If we take into consideration the concept’s interior design, this model should come with top-class materials. It means unique leather seats and leather covers in door panels and the dash. Tech wise, this model should come with HD touch screen display with navigation and hard drive storage, various connectivity options and Lexus Enform system.
2017 Lexus LF-LC Engine
The 2017 Lexus LF-LC should come available in two variants. The first one will be a 5.0 liter V-8 engine and it will be capable to produce around 475 hp. This model should also come with a new hybrid system. The details are still unknown, but it can be assumed that it will be a 3.5 liter V-6 petrol engine and an electric motor. Total system will have the capacity to deliver around 500 hp. It is just a rumor, but this model could come with a new 10-speed automatic transmission. The LF-LC will probably be powered by Toyota’s TS040 hybrid engine. It combines a 3.7 Liter V-8 gas engine and an electric motor. The V-8 can produce 513 ponies and use the rear-wheels only. The electric motor can deliver 473 hp and it will use all-wheel drive. Together, this hybrid drivetrain can crack out 986 hp, respectively. With such an engine, the LF-LC could go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Another option for this model could be a 4.8 liter V-10 engine galloping 550 hp.
